Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Mame Niang may well make a return to his former club Viking FK following a lucrative offer.
The clubs are reportedly keen on re-signing the Senegalese, who is currently available on a free having recently been let go by the Brazilians. According to a source, the offer is simply too good for Niang to turn down, despite suggestions the player has offers from local sides.
‘Mame is back in the country after spending time on holiday with his family. There are a few local offers but Viking’s is the most attractive one,’ a source told KickOff.
Niang spent the second part of the past season on loan at NFD side AmaZulu, prior to which he had joined Cypriot club AEL Limassol on a temporary basis.
Niang played for Viking between 2008 and 2010 before making the switch to South Africa, joining SuperSport United, then AmaTuks and Sundowns in more recent seasons.
The player made 31 appearances for Viking, scoring six.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old made 19 appearances in all competitions set folast term.
