Cape Town City midfielder Luyolo Nomandela admits that it was a great feeling to have made his debut for the club during their 1-1 draw with SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership.
The 27-year-old earned himself a professional contract with the Cape side after impressing head coach Eric Tinkler while on trial at the club.
Nomandela says he was delighted to have made his debut for his new club before praising his side’s efforts against Matsatsantsa, despite their stalemate.
‘It was great feeling to be on the pitch again, especially after being out of action for such a long time,’ says Nomandela said after the match.
‘It was a tough match playing against a team also in second position on the log. It was a great effort from the guys. Even though we didn’t get the three points, but at least a point is better than nothing.’
Cape Town City will next lock horns with Free State Stars in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.
The match at Goble Park kicks off at 19:30.
