Chippa United chairman Chippa Mpengesi has confirmed that James Okwuosa and Marc van Heerden has now joined Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.

The pair joined the Buccaneers in a swap deal which saw Justice Chabalala, Donald Mokondelela, Sello Japhta and Nkosinathi Mthiyane make their way to the Chilli Boys.

Mpengesi says he is delighted with the signings of Okwuosa and Van Heerden as a replacement for the players they lost in the process.

‘We are happy we have replaced those players with equally quality players,’ Mpengesi told KickOff.com.

Okwuosa and Van Heerden are now expected to be put through their paces when they start training with the Sea Robbers on Monday.

When the Absa Premiership resumes, Orlando Pirates will next take on Baroka at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on February 8.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
