Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker believes his side can only grow from here following their 3-2 victory over Polokwane City at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
The Glamour Boys ended their eight-match winless streak, with goals by Bernard Parker, Joseph Molangoane and a late goal by Willard Katsande.
The 30-year-old says he was more than delighted to have played his first full 90 minutes for the season, having last played a match at in April last year.
‘It’s my first 90 minutes in a very long time… But it was [a game of] two different halves,’ Parker said after the match.
‘In the first half we were looking slow, we were second to every dual and the second balls as well, and we gave Polokwane a bit of confidence.’
Parker believes their victory over Rise and Shine has boosted Amakhosi’s confidence ahead of their next Absa Premiership match against Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
‘We can only grow from here. I’m sure this win will boost our confidence a little bit, and I’m sure we will go more confident into our next match,’ he added.
The match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
