Bafana Bafana international Lebogang Phiri has penned an emotional farewell message to Ligue 2 outfit Paris FC following the end of his loan spell.
The 28-year-old spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Paris FC where he made 19 appearances across all competitions, with 17 appearances in the Ligue two and two in the Coupe de France.
He leaves the club after they finish in seventh place on 55 points with 15 wins, 10 draws and conceding 13 defeat in 38 matches.
Phiri will now return back to his parent club Caykur Rizespor in Turkey ahead of the 2023-24 season.
“I’d like to take this time to show gratitude to @parisfc for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their 2022/2023 season campaign,” Phiri wrote on his official Instagram.
“It was a pleasure to partake in your journey thus far in pursuit of reaching top flight football. Irrespective of the season we had and injuries encountered, an amazing experience is what I had.
“From my team mates to the kit men, the technical staff, the President and his panel and last but not least the supporters who came in numbers to cheer us on.
“I’d like to pass my best regards to all of you. Your glory days are coming. Keep on keeping on. Thank you all. Till we meet again. Stay safe & stay blessed. #certifiéparis.”
