SuperSport United shot-stopper Reyaad Pieterse was delighted to make his long-awaited debut against his former club Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday.
Matsatsantsa played out to a 2-2 draw with the Glamour Boys in an entertaining Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper was pleased with his contribution and praised the team effort earning a crucial point to move his side to third on the Absa Premiership table.
‘It was good to be back on the field of play and it’s always important to play a role in the team’s success,’ Pieterse told the SuperSport United website.
‘Obviously, we wanted to get maximum points, but we were unfortunate at the end of the day. I am glad with my contribution, but at the end of the day it’s a team sport and we will always work harder to achieve our goals.’
SuperSport take on Orlando Pirates in a Telkom Knock-Out semi-final at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
