Orlando Pirates have announced a partnership with deodorant manufacturers, Shield, that will be aimed at helping young footballers realise their dreams of becoming a professional.
The Pirates deal will add to a deal already in place with Chelsea Football Club from England. The deal with the English club sees them conduct a talent identification programme, where a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is given to one lucky winner to train with the Premier League outfit.
The Buccaneers, however, have announced that the winner of their edition of the countrywide scouting competition will get an opportunity to sign a one-year contract with the club’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge team.
This prize will give the winner an opportunity to forge a career in the professional game.
