An unnamed Orlando Pirates player has failed a drug test, according to reports.
EWN reported on Wednesday that SAIDS Chief Executive Khalid Galant confirmed a Pirates player had failed a doping test.
The players’ B sample reportedly confirmed that he had tested positive for cocaine.
A hearing has been set for August 31 as the player has contested the findings.
Pirates are due to play Kaizer Chiefs in the season-opening Carling Black Label Cup this weekend.
