Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane admits his side are having difficulties in scoring goals after they dropped points against Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Devils were forced to share the spoils with Ceramica Cleopatra after playing out to a 1-1 draw at the Arab Contractors Stadium over the weekend.

The draw has Ahly remaining in second place in the Egyptian Premier League with 33 points from 14 games, trailing log-leaders Zamalek by eight points, with three games in hand.

However, Mosimane says his side will work on improving certain aspects of their game, while also admitting they lacked the cutting edge in front of goal failing to convert countless chances in the final third.

“We are having difficulties in scoring goals. When you don’t score goals, you have to know the reasons. We have to analyse everything.”

“The last two games have been difficult. This game is a copy of our last game. It is very difficult to break the barrier when the opponents play with two defensive lines, a line of six players and a line of four players but it is OK, it is the opponent’s tactics and we have to respect that.

“We have to overcome it and we do not have to be emotional about that, but it is a great concern.”
