Al Ahly marketing and transfers director Amir Tawfik has revealed that head coach Pitso Mosimane is set to meet with club president Mahmoud El-Khatib to discuss his new contract.
Mosimane is currently entering the final 12 months of his contract which is believed to be worth around R54 million, despite only joining the club on 2 October 2021.
In this short span, Mosimane he has already won five major titles, including two Caf Champions League titles, the Egyptian Premier League trophy, Caf Super Cup and Egypt Cup.
Club marketing transfers director Tawfik has now confirmed that Mosimane is set to hold a meeting with Mahmoud El-Khatib.
He was asked about Mosimane’s future with the team, to which he replied:
“The club wants Mosimane to continue leading the team,” Amir told KingFut.com.
“A longer contract increases the team’s stability, there will be a meeting between club president Mahmoud El-Khatib and Pitso Mosimane to discuss the new contract at a later date.”
