Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane admits they can expect “difficult” games in the group stages of the Caf Champions League following the conclusion of the draw held at the Caf headquarters on Tuesday.
The Red Devils have been drawn in Group A alongside the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Sudan outfits Al Hilal and Al Merriekh following the draw at the CAF headquarters in Cairo.
Mosimane has since reflected on defending their title and playing against the Sudan outfits as well as facing off against his former club.
“It won’t be an easy group. We have Sundowns, Al Hilal, and Al Merrikh who are all experienced in the CAF Champions League. We have a lot of difficult games to play, as all the other three teams will be looking to qualify from the group,” Mosimane told his club official website.”
Mosimane, who was an honorary guest and participated in the group stage draw, expressed his delight at coaching Ahly at the continental competition.
“I am at a club which won ten the title ten times. Our fans always expect us to win all the competitions we compete in. I am very proud and honoured to have won the last two CAF Champions League titles with Al Ahly,” added Mosimane.
