The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will hold a news conference on Monday afternoon where it is expected to announce the league’s return-to-play strategies and a possible restart date.
In a short statement released on Friday, the league said chairman Dr Irvin Khoza will hold the media briefing at the PSL offices at 12pm on Monday.

Media reports suggest the league is looking at 19 July as the possible return date for competitive football in South Africa.
The news comes after government gave the PSL’s return-to-play proposal the green light after already opening training for the clubs last month.
It, however, has proved challenging for clubs with the costs involved in coronavirus testing and disinfecting which has been coupled with silence from the league on a possible return date.
Khoza, though, is expected to announce a return date as well as the province or provinces that will stage the remaining matches of the season, with the league possibly looking to isolate the matches in a certain area of the country.
There are 54 PSL fixtures, 44 NFD matches and three Nedbank Cup games still to play before the season can officially be completed, but hopefully it won’t be long until the show is back on the road.
