Former SK Sigma Olomouc defender Renars Rode will bring balance to new PSL club Cape Town City FC, according to the club’s owner.
Rode’s transfer was confirmed on Thursday as the Latvian international agreed to a one-year deal, with one year option.
City FC owner John Comitis is excited that the pieces of the puzzle are coming together.
‘I believe this proves that Cape Town City are sending out strong signals that we are here and we mean business,’ said Comitis.

Rode joins the likes of Australian Matt Sim and Austrian Roland Putsche as part of the club’s foreign contingent ahead of their debut in the Premiership.
The Cape side begin life in the PSL with a home league encounter against Polokwane City on August 23.
