Chippa United midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni insists that he is unaware of the rumours linking him with a move to Orlando Pirates.
The 27-year old was one of the Chilli Boys standout performers this past season, helping his side to a eighth-placed finish in the Absa Premiership for the first time in history.
Sangweni, who spent a season-long loan at Chippa from Mamelodi Sundowns, appeared 18 times in the Premiership for netting one goal.
The former AmaZulu player says he was not aware of any rumours linking him to the Buccaneers.
‘I don’t know anything,’ Sangweni told KickOff.
‘I’m serious, I don’t know anything, and I can’t say anything either … I have no comment. As I’m speaking to you I’m at home and I don’t know anything.
‘But having said that, the interest excites me … that means the work I do on field is there for everybody to see.’
The KwaZulu-Natal-born midfielder also admitted that he is unsure where he will be plying his trade next season.
