Siphiwe Tshabalala has welcomed Kaizer Chiefs new signings to the Naturena ahead of the upcoming season.
The Glamour Boys unveiled eight new signings on Monday, including the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Keagan Buchanan, Enocent Mkhabela and Sibusiso Khumalo.
Amakhosi are eager to make an impact in Steve Komphela’s second season in charge following a trophyless 2015-16, reports KickOff.com.
The Amakhosi captain insists that the new signings arrived at Naturena when the club’s expectations have been raised to new heights.
‘I would like to welcome the guys and wish them well. They have arrived at a time when we have to raise the stakes. This will be hard work and that is why we have to start now and push for success,’ Tshabalala said.
‘Shabba’ is looking forward to the fresh campaign as Amakhosi ease into their pre-season preparations.
The 31-year-old is optimistic ahead of the 2016-17 season as he looks to put their disappointing fifth place finish in the Absa Premiership last season.
