Gladwin Shitolo believes that he is ready to go back to Orlando Pirates and fight for his position in the team following his season long loan at Golden Arrows.
The 26-year-old has been impressive for Abafana Bes’thende this season scoring five goals and picking up an assist in 32 appearances for Arrows.
The Buccaneers midfielder insisted that when he arrived at Arrows he had the hunger to play and coach Cliton Larsen trusted him to play football to the best of his ability.
‘Sometimes when you are in a team where you know you will play you get complacent and you don’t improve as a player,’ Shitolo told Goal.
‘I think the hunger that I had when I moved to Arrows at the beginning of the season showed during my time there and that is why I could do what I did.
‘The coaches trusted me and allowed me to play my football the best way that I can.’
The former South African U23 international revealed that if he is not in Eric Tinkler’s plans he would like to return to Arrows.
‘If I am not in the coach’s plans, I would like to return to Arrows and continue enjoying my football again because Arrows were good to me,’ added.
This season Shitolo has helped Arrows finish ninth on the Absa Premiership table with 40 points, picking up 11 wins, seven draws and suffering 12 defeats from 30 mathces.
