Free State Stars continued their solid display during the pre-season after their 5-0 thumping of Tembisa Jerry Sikhosana XI in Benoni.
Stars midfielder Thokozani Sekotlong opened the scoring in the 20th minute when he guided in a Paulus Masehe’s cross.
On the stroke of half-time Moeketsi Sekola pounced on a loose ball from a corner to extend Ea Lla Koto’s lead to 2-0.
The second half saw Stars dominating the match as striker Tshepo Mothiba blazed a low shot into the back of the net from a free kick 15 minutes after the break and later completed his hat-trick with a quick brace.
The only real chance for the Tembisa team came halfway through the second half when former Stars player Joseph Mhlongo failed to score regardless of the opportunity.
At the final whistle, Stars claimed a 5-0 victory over Tembisa Jerry Sikhosana XI as they continue their preparations for the 2016-17 season.
