South African teenager Luther Singh has continued his fine form after netting once again for Swedish side Gais as they drew 2-2 away to Assyriska on Monday.
The 18-year-old bagged his sixth goal in 11 starts for the club this term, seemingly validating the local press’ claims that he is ‘far too good’ for the Swedish second-tier, reports KickOff.
The fleet-footed youngster has been converted from a winger to a central striker this term, where his pace and dribbling skills have been utilised to inflict maximum damage.
Singh was disappointed with the result despite his fine individual performance and is eager for his team to climb up the log.
‘I’m disappointed. We need to get better results to go up in the standings,’ he said.
‘Last year I played eight games and scored two goals. I am very pleased to have made six goals [this season]. My goal is to make 15 goals this year. I think I can do it. It’s a long time until November and I’m in good shape.’
The player believes he is adapting well to his new position as a number nine and that has sparked his improved goal return.
Fellow South African Pule Maraisane did not make if off the bench for the clash.
