Bafana Bafana forward Luther Singh has signed a new long-term contract with Primeira Liga side Sporting Braga following his impressive form this season.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal at the Portuguese club and has now been promoted to the first team after scoring 11 goals and assisting a further four from 35 appearances in all competitions for Braga B.
Singh will now have the opportunity to play in the Europa League qualification after the club finished fourth in the Portuguese league behind the likes of champions Porto, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica.
Braga released the following statement on the club’s official website:
‘SC Braga announces the extension of the contract for Luther Singh, who is now committed for another five seasons, until 2022-23.
‘Singh will join the main team in the start of the new pre-season, with a view to the 2018-19 season.’
The former GAIS Goteborg forward was also recently named in the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming Cosafa Cup in Polokwane.
