Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas says they will give it their best shot to overcome an in-form Cape Town City in the Telkom Knockout Cup semi-final on Saturday.

Ea Lla Koto have had a slow start to the 2016-17 Absa Premiership season and remain the only team yet to win a PSL match. They dwell at the bottom of the table with five points from 10 games.

‘On Saturday we have the semi-final and we need to put the energy into this game and it is not the moment to think about the past two games,’ Solinas told KickOff.com.

‘We need to move forward and we need to stick together, move together and give our best for this game. But we’re trying to give our best and we don’t have too much time to prepare for this game, because we have been travelling a lot but we will give our best.’

The match at Athlone Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
