Italian coach Giovanni Solinas looks set to part ways with Free State Stars after spending two spells with the club.

Solinas enjoyed two spells at Ea Lla Koto and first joined the club at the start of the 2015-16 season before his departure at the end of that same season.

The former ES Setif coach then joined the club for a second spell close to the end of 2016.

According to a source close to the club, the Italian tactician met with the club management yesterday and could part ways before the end of this week.

A source close to the club has revealed that the Italian is close to leaving Ea Lla Koto after he met with the club.

‘The coach has indicated he is leaving. He met with the club yesterday and an announcement is expected very soon,’ the source told KickOff.com.

Free State Stars will next travel to the FNB Stadium when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on February 7.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
