Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas admits that his side lack quality and experience following their poor form in the Absa Premiership this season.
Ea Lla Koto fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns and now sit level with Highlands Park at the bottom of the table.
The 48-year-old feels they lacked the quality and defensive experience to prevent the Brazilians from scoring.
‘I don’t want to compare my players to that of Sundowns,’ Solinas said after the match. ‘We have problems and must try to find solutions.
‘We have young players from our development team … we have players who last season were playing in first division and players playing in third division – it’s not easy. We need quality and experienced players.
‘The league is stronger this season. It’s not easy to fight with the big teams without experience and strong players.’
Free State Stars will meet Baroka FC in their next encounter in the Absa Premiership on December 14.
The match at Goble Park kicks off at 19:30.
