Mamelodi Sundowns have opted to extend Leonardo Castro’s contract which sees him remain at Chloorkop for the upcoming season.
The 28-year-old who joined Sundowns on a one-year deal from Bolivian club Club Universitario de Sucre with a two-year option at the beginning of last season.
The arrangement was to safeguard the Brazilians in case the South American’s stay didn’t work out at Chloorkop, reports KickOff.com.
However, during his first stint with the club Castro netting 14 goals in all competitions and formed a formidable partnership with Khama Billait and Keagan Dolly, known as ‘CBD’ combination.
The Brazilians have now activated the option to extend the Colombian striker stay at the club, after agreeing to his requests.
