Mamelodi Sundowns had to settle for a point after playing to a goalless draw against AS Maniema Union in their CAF Champions League Group B opener at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

The draw leaves Sundowns sitting in second place in Group B with one point after one game, while Maniema Union are placed third with the same points after the first match.
