Mamelodi Sundowns wing Keagan Dolly is doubtful to play a part in his side’s Champions League clash with Enyimba and MTN8 quarter-final against SuperSport United.
The Brazilians’ medical team attribute the hamstring injury to overloading matches in quick succession, especially for a player who has played more matches than any Sundowns player, reports the Mamelodi Sundowns website.
The 23-year-old played a crucial role in Sundowns’ Caf Champions League victory over Zamalek and soon after linked up with South African U23 as they prepared for the Rio Olympic Games in Brazil.
The Sundowns team doctors believe that Dolly might be out for both the Champions League match against Enyimba and the MTN8 clash against Supersport United.
Over the course of last season, Dolly featured in 45 appearances for Sundowns, scoring nine goals and assisting a further nine in all competitions.
He also had a hand in helping his side win the Telkom Knockout and Absa Premiership title during the 2015-16 season.
Mamelodi Sundowns will now take on Enyimba in their Caf Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Kick-off has been set for 17:30.
