SuperSport United are in talks with Mamelodi Sundowns over the signing defender Mario Booysen on a permanent deal.

The defender joined Matsatsantsa on-loan from Sundowns in January making 15 appearances in the Absa Premiership and helping the club to finished eighth on the PSL log.

SuperSport coach Stuart Baxter expressed his desire to keep onto Booysen and the players agent, Miguel Paiva has confirmed to Goal that Matsatsantsa and Sundowns are currently engaged in talks regarding the centre-back’s future.

‘The clubs are talking. SuperSport are keen to retain his services outright and they are in discussions with Sundowns,’ Paiva said.

‘If that comes into agreement then we will sit down with the club to discuss personal package etc.’

Paiva went on to say that he hope a deal between SuperSport and Sundowns are reach, stating that his client is more than happy to stay at Matsatsantsa.
