SuperSport United have entered the race to sign in-demand Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo, according to reports.
The 26-year-old is expected to be released by the Buccanneers before the start of the 2016-17 season, joining a growing list of players including the likes of Yasser Mugwera, Felipe Ovono, Tshepo Gumede and Rooi Mahamutsa in being tipped to exit the club.
Bidvest Wits had been rumoured to be interested in the player, but negotiations allegedly broke down following a dispute in the negotiation of another player between the clubs; the transfer of Wits midfielder Jabulani Shongwe.
The obstacle has reportedly opened the door to SuperSport, who are keen on adding the player to their ranks.
‘Wits are interested in Bibo,’ a source told KickOff.
‘But the problem is that they want money on top of Jabulani Shongwe to Pirates.
‘SuperSport has now also made contact.’
Matsatsantsa has already added the likes of Reyaad Pieterse, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Keegan Ritchie to their squad for next season. Ntshumayelo, meanwhile, made just 12 appearances for Bucs last term, scoring once.
