Chippa United have confirmed that right back Diamond Thopola is expected to be back in action in two weeks following his recovery from a groin strain.
The 26-year-old was sidelined during his side’s 1-0 defeat against Golden Arrows after sustaining an injury while with Bafana Bafana ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso on October 8.
The former Thanda Royal Zulu right back is currently undergoing rehabilitation, according to the Chippa United website.
Meanwhile, strikers Rhulani Manzini and Bongani Ndulula are both still recovering from the respective ankle injuries under the watchful eye of team physio Mark Anderson.
Chippa United will now travel to the Makhulong Stadium when they take on Highlands Park in the Telkom Knockout first round on Friday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 20:00.
