Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler says he is respectful of his former club Orlando Pirates but believes there are weaknesses in there attack.
Tinkler’s side will now face his former club for the first time since being appointed as the head coach of Cape Town City.
The 46-year-old admits that his defence have to have to keep a close eye on Ndoro after scoring five goals in two matches in the Absa Premiership.
‘Right now‚ we’ve all seen Tendai Ndoro. He is always a threat. The goal he scored against Ajax [shows] he’s the type of player that if you give a lot of space‚ he will hurt you,’ Tinkler said.
Tinkler says he feel his side will be in with a chance if they can put the Bucs defence under pressure but he admits that the Buccaneers shouldn’t be underestimated.
‘I think they have made a number of very good signings. [Abbubaker] Mobara. I like this boy [Bernard] Morrison,’ he added.
‘But I think there are certain weaknesses from what I’ve seen‚ especially defensively.
‘But they are always a talented team. They are always going to be a threat especially when their tails are up.’
The Cape Town City mentor insists that with perfect planning and preparing well for the match, he believes his side can walk away with all three points.
‘We are going there for a win. But we got to plan and prepare properly,’ the City coach said.
The match at Orlando Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
