Maritzburg United coach Eric Tinkler has decided against sharing his opinion on Judas Moseamedi’s disallowed goal in the Telkom Knockout Cup final against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Moseamedi handed the Team of Choice the lead late in the first-half before Mauricio Affonso bagged a second have brace to give Sundowns a 2-1 victory at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

However, the main talking point of the game was when Moseamedi netted a stoppage time goal only for it to be ruled out for offside by the linesman, but Tinkler has refused to comment on the controversial incident.

‘No comment, you shouldn’t be asking me this question really. So ja, move on to the next one please. I should never be doing interviews ten minutes after the game,’ he retorted.

‘You know emotions are high, that’s a question you shouldn’t be asking me.

‘You shouldn’t be asking me that question, move on,’ was all he could say on the matter and was only comfortable talking about the positives he takes away from the game.

‘The positives are our first-half performance, we should have punished them, we had great opportunities right in the first minute we should have scored. We had another two, three chances and against a team of Sundowns’ quality, you gonna get punished if you don’t take your opportunities,’ he finally opened up.

‘We spoke about that at half-time and unfortunately that’s what ended up happening, again like I said, Congratulations to Sundowns.’
