Arouca coach Jose Carlos Fernandes Vidigal is reportedly the number-one option to succeed Muhsin Ertugral at Orlando Pirates.

The 47-year-old guided the Portuguese side to a fifth-place finish in the Primeira Liga last season, their highest finish in the club’s history.

However, Vidigal has recently come under fire after winning just three of his last 15 matches in charge of Arouca.

Vidigal is on offer to the Sea Robbers to replace former coach Ertugral, but he is only an option if his results at Arouca don’t improve, according to SoccerLaduma.

The likes of Roger de Sa, Dan Malesela, Luc Eymael and Giovanni Solinas are all in contention for the Mayfair vacancy.
