Sibusiso Vilakazi has finally completed his move to Mamelodi Sundowns having starred for Bidvest Wits last season.
Wits announced the news on their website on Saturday as one of the longest ongoing transfer sagas of the window was finally drawn to a close.
As part of the deal, Cuthbert Malajila and Mogakolodi Ngele have joined the Clever Boys.
Vilakazi had been a hot prospect in the market with a host of top clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs, eager to acquire his services.
Ngele and Malajila had long been rumoured to be departing the club in part exchange for the 26-year-old star and with all parties now in agreement, the deal has been struck
‘Bidvest Wits FC are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with Mamelodi Sundowns for the transfer of Sibusiso Vilakazi to Mamelodi Sundowns for an undisclosed transfer fee as well as the transfers of Cuthbert Malajila and Mogakolodi Ngele to Bidvest Wits FC,’ a statement on the Wits website read.
‘The players involved have all agreed personal terms with their respective new clubs and the transfers are, therefore, effective immediately,’ concluded the statement.
Vilakazi netted seven goals from 25 appearances from midfield in the Absa Premiership last term.
