Orlando Pirates have confirmed that attacker Vincent Pule is expected to be out of action for up to 12 weeks due to an injury.
The 29-year-old suffered an injury while he was on international duty with Bafana Bafana last week.
Pule subsequently missed Bafana’s 1-0 win over Ethiopia as well as Pirates’ goalless draw with Diable Noirs in the Caf Confederation Cup last Friday.
The Buccaneers have since released a statement announcing that Pule is expected to be sidelined for several weeks as he continues to mend his injury.
“The Orlando Pirates medical department has provided an update on Vincent Pule’s situation after the 29-year-old suffered an injury while on national duty last week.”
“Pule who was listed in the starting line up for the FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Ethiopia injured himself during the pre-match warm up and was subsequently dropped.
“Orlandopiratesfc.com can confirm that Pule has missed the trip to Congo, where the Buccaneers will be taking on Diables Noirs in Brazzaville this afternoon.
“The Bucs medical department has revealed on Orlandopiratesfc.com, that Pule has suffered a Grade III tear of the quad and could be ruled out of action to up to 12 weeks. “
