Maritzburg United goalkeeper Virgil Vries will remain at the Team of Choice after he agreed to a new two-year contract with the club.
The 27-year-old secured a move to the Team of Choice in 2013 from Namibian side Orlando Pirates Windhoek
The Namibian goalkeeper went on to became the club’s first-choice goalkeeper from the beginning of the 2014-15 season and has now extended his stay at the club for another two seasons.
Jazzman Mahlakgane, who represents the former Golden Arrows shot-stopper has confirmed the deal, according to KickOff.com.
During his three-year stay at the Harry Gwala Stadium, Vries kept a total of 12 clean sheets from 43 appearances in all competitions.
On an international level, the Namibian has featured 14 times for his country, keeping six clean sheets since making his debut during his side’s Afcon qualifier against Gambia in 2010.
