Kaiser Chiefs midfielder William Twala insisted that Amakhosi will put their disappointing 2015-16 season to bed and focus on dominating next season.
The Glamour Boys experienced a trophyless season and finished fifth on the Absa Premiership table, under coach Steve Komphela’s first spell at the club.
The 26-year-old who was signed from Chippa United in January, netted twice from 10 appearances for the Soweto giants.
‘This season was very challenging … no-one saw Sundowns winning the League title because they didn’t start well,’ the 26-year-old told KickOff.
‘Personally I was happy to play and score some goals, but we were unfortunate with a run of poor results. It is hard to single out what it was that led us not to win.’
Twala went on to say that Komphela has give the team a mandate to focus on improving themselves and to aim for silverware next season.
‘Our target next season is obviously to get silverware. Coach Steve Komphela made it very clear that we must be focused on improving ourselves. We want to dominate, not just compete,’ Twala added.
During the first-half of the season Twala appeared seven times for the Chilli Boys, firing in two goals.
