Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane has revealed his side has a plan for handling Caf Champions League rivals Zamalek.
The pair are level in Group B having both won a match against Enyimba. Sundowns had won an additional match against Setif 2-0, but that result was rendered null and void following Setif’s expulsion from the tournament.
‘There are three teams in the group now and two must qualify. Already we have three points so this also puts us under pressure to win the game against Zamalek,’ Zwane told KickOff.
The player also revealed his side have studied the Egyptians’ style of play.
‘We’ve watched them before and some of the games they’ve played. The only thing we saw is that they move the ball quickly and they are good in set-pieces … and they press.
‘We have a plan for them. We must also avoid corners and don’t give them set-pieces,’ he added.
The Brazilians will face the former Caf winners away in Cairo on Sunday, July 17.
The match will be played at the International Stadium.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
