Bidvest Wits have completed the signing of former KV Kortrijk goalkeeper Darren Keet on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old will now provide stiff competition for veteran goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs, having signed for the Students as a free agent after failing to agree a new contract with the Belgian side.
‘Bidvest Wits are pleased to announce that they have reached agreement with former KV Kortrijk goalkeeper Darren Keet to join Bidvest Wits with immediate effect, and have concluded and signed an agreement with the player to that effect,’ the Bidvest Wits website said.
The Bafana Bafana shot-stopper made a total of 59 appearances for Wits before leaving to ply his trade in Belgium back in 2011.
Keet established himself as their number one goalkeeper and was named Player of the Season in the 2012-13 season by the club’s fans after making 140 appearances and keeping 47 clean sheets during his five-year spell at the club.
