Asec Mimosas have announced that Ivorian forward Yannick Zakri has joined Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Brazilians have had an initial bid of R4.7 million accepted for the 25-year-old accepted by ASEC this week, according to KingFut.
Egyptian giants Zamalek have reportedly had a formal bid of R2.8-million turn down by the club, according to the Citizen.
The Abidjan club have now released a statement on Facebook, which reads: ‘Zakri Krahire Yannick transferred to Mamelodi Sundowns.’
‘After the transfer of Siaka Tiene and Soumahoro Bangaly, the attacker Zakri Krahire Yannick will continue his career at this great club, the champions of South Africa and current semi-finalist of the Champions League.
‘Indeed, the two clubs that are working together for several years have reached the final transfer of player.
‘The Asec Mimosas wish him good luck for the rest of his career.’
Over the course of his career, Yannick has played for Ivorian side’s AFAD Djekanou and Asec Mimosas and has been capped seven times for his national team, scoring one goal.
