Chippa United midfielder Sandile Zuke is excited to be back after leaving the club at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The 29-year-old midfielder rejoined the Chilli Boys in November this year on a short-term deal until the end of the season, and has already made two Absa Premiership appearances.
The former Bidvest Wits midfielder is excited to be back at the club where he made 21 appearances last season.
‘This is a club that I’ve played for before, so it’s like coming home, and I am very excited to be part of this family again,’ Zuke told the Chippa United website.
The midfielder added that the Chilli Boys need to keep working hard in order to bounce back to their winning ways.
‘We just need to push and continue playing our way, something will come up, we just need to continue working hard.
‘Through dedication, hard work and determination you always get something positive. I guess that is what we need to show on the field of play, and take our chances in front of the goals.
‘I would like to thank the fans for the support they have given the club during these difficult times. My plea to them is, “Be patient with us, we are a work in progress”, soon the results that you are expecting will come.’
Chippa United tackle Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday, with kick-off set for 19:30.
