Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu believes French Ligue 1 side Amiens have enough time to turn around their campaign to avoid relegation this season.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder helped his side to secure a point over the weekend after playing out to a 1-1 draw with Djion FCO at the Stade de la Licorne Stadium.
Zungu, who is working on making his way back into the first team following his injury, managed to play the final 20 minute to see his side remain a point above the relegation zone in 17th place with 17 points.
The 27-year-old has already played 12 out of 17 games for Amiens so far this season but was set back by a niggling injury.
‘We have to focus on the positives and move on… The season is long, we still have a lot of time to come back. If we stay united, we will win matches,’ Zungu told the media.
‘That’s why I’m positive we’ll come back stronger. I have been at the club for three seasons and each year we have our own difficulties which we have overcome by the end of the season.
‘So I’m very positive that it’s going to work like that against this year, it’s a very complicated moment for us but you have to be positive and give everything for your team.’
