Cameron van der Burgh winning a gold medal in the final race of his illustrious career is one of SportsClub‘s most memorable moments of 2018. 

The swimming world got a huge shock during the Fina Short Course World Championships when South African Cameron van der Burgh announced his retirement from the sport.

Van der Burgh won the gold medal in his 50m breaststroke race, which was a great way to go out for the great man.
