A Mamelodi Sundowns fan got on to the Loftus pitch and tried to attack Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rulani Mokwena during their Premiership clash on Saturday. Sadly, that was the most action the game saw as it ended in a goalless draw.

Manchester is blue after Manchester City claimed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the Etihad on Sunday.

Cricket

The Proteas lost to Australia on Friday, but the men from South Africa bounced back in style to win the third ODI on Sunday by 40 runs and in doing so claimed a 2-1 series victory.

Rugby

Bongi Mbonambi scored an 85th-minute try as the Springboks secured a narrow 29-26 victory over France in Paris on Saturday.

At Twickenham, England let a 15-0 lead slip against New Zealand as the All Blacks scored 16 unanswered points to claim a narrow 16-15 victory.

The match had late controversy when England thought they had scored a try, but it was ruled out as the television match official, Marius Jonker, adjudged that England’s Courtney Lawes was offside when he charged down TJ Perenara’s kick. 

Formula One

Max Verstappen was leading the Brazilian Grand Prix when Force India’s Esteban Ocon tried to unlap himself and made contact with the race leader, resulting in Verstappen spinning his car around and allowing Lewis Hamilton to win the race. Verstappen pushed Ocon after the race and threatened to punch him.

Tennis

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson made a dream ATP Finals debut in London on Sunday when he beat Dominic Thiem of Austria 6-3, 7-6 (10) in his opening match in London.
