The International Olympic Committee has officially awarded the 2024 Olympic Games to Paris and the 2028 edition to Los Angeles.
Both cites have hosted two previous Olympics – Paris in 1900 and 1924, and Los Angeles in 1932 and 1984.
The IOC decided in July to award both Games at the same time, following the withdrawal of four of the six cities bidding for the 2024 Olympics due to the costs associated with staging the world’s biggest sports event.
