Barbarians coach Rassie Erasmus will have 13 Springboks in his squad for Saturday’s match against Argentina at Twickenham.
A large contingent of first-choice players who were in action for the Boks during their November tour will remain in Europe. This includes Aphiwe Dyantyi, who was named World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year for 2018, and Player of the Year nominee Malcolm Marx.
Bok captain Siya Kolisi has also stayed behind as have forwards Schalk Brits, Lood de Jager, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Steven Kitshoff, Trevor Nyakane and Sikhumbuzo Notshe. The backline players in the squad include Damian de Allende, Elton Jantjies, Jesse Kriel and Handré Pollard.
Fiji scrumhalf Frank Lomani, who played in their win against France on the weekend, Argentina flank Juan Miguel Leguizamon, All Blacks prop Wyatt Crockett are in the squad as well as Australians Luke Jones, Tom English and Jack Debreczeni and Crusaders flank Jordan Taufua.
