Springboks speedster Kurt-Lee Arendse believes there is still room for improvement as they prepare to face England in their final Castle Lager Outgoing Tour match at Twickenham on Saturday.
South Africa scored nine tries against Italy, including two by winger Kurt-Lee Arendse as the Springboks secured a convincing 63-21 victory in Genoa.
The Springboks are now set to face England in their final at the Twickenham Stadium and Arendse, who put on a man of the match performance last week, says his side a fully focused on what is expected to be a tough battle against England.
“We had a plan against them and we stuck to it – I’m really proud of the guys,” said Arendse.
“We said we needed energy after the two losses and we certainly brought that on Saturday, and it paid off.”
“It was amazing to score and to contribute to the team, but moreso that we could pull through the win. Personally I think there are still a few things I can learn, so I am going to continue trying to do so.
“There is still room for improvement, but we are happy with the win. We will go back to the drawing board on Monday and start preparing for what is going to be a tough Test against England.”
