All Blacks flyhalf Beauden Barrett has been offered a deal by a French Top 14 club that would make him the highest paid rugby player in the world.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the club has offered Barrett NZ$3.4-million a year (R29.4-million), topping the current NZ$2.83-million (R24.5-million) Dan Carter earns at Racing 92.
Barrett’s current contract with New Zealand Rugby, which earns him NZ$1-million (R8.7-million) a season, will expire after next year’s World Cup.
