The Blitzboks will meet Samoa in the Cup quarter-finals after finishing second in Pool A at the Paris Sevens.

South Africa finished the pool stage with a 31-7 win over Canada. Earlier in the day, they lost 19-12 to Scotland and beat Japan 35-5.

Chris Dry scored a hat-trick against the Canadians, while Werner Kok claimed a brace.

The Blitzboks will face Samoa in the Cup quarter-final at 11:12 (SA time) on Sunday morning.
