Seabelo Senatla says it was easy to slot back into the Blitzboks set-up after a Super Rugby stint with the Stormers.

South Africa’s record try-scorer returns to sevens duty in London this weekend, having last played in Hamilton (the fourth tournament of the current series).

‘It was easy coming back, this family always stayed family and I watched them play when I was away,’ he said.

‘I am not going to try and change anything this weekend. I know what my job is. There are small adjustments to be made, but thanks to my teammates and coaches, I believe things will go well. I am keen to get back on the field with these guys.

‘I want to thank both coaches in my rugby set-up, Stormers coach Robbie Fleck, for allowing me to come back to the sevens and [Blitzboks] coach Neil Powell, for wanting me back and giving me another opportunity to serve my country,’ he added. ‘I owe both of them a good performance, as both made sacrifices for me.’

With two tournaments remaining in the World Rugby Sevens Series, the Blitzboks are second in the standings with 141 points, four behind series leaders Fiji.

South Africa will play pool matches against Russia, Samoa and Canada at Twickenham on Saturday.
