SA Rugby’s preliminary fixture list for 2022 has the Springboks down for four fixtures against Wales, while the SA ‘A’ team is also scheduled for two fixtures next year.

The 2022 fixture list for SA Rugby’s national senior teams, including the Springboks, was revealed in Appendix 3 of the Rassie Erasmus judgement.

According to the preliminary fixtures, which are subject to change, the Springboks will host Wales in

a three-Test series between 9 and 23 July next year.

During the July series, the Boks will be given an opportunity to expand their squad depth as the South Africa ‘A’ team is scheduled for midweek fixtures against an opponent that is still to be determined.

The fourth fixture against Wales will come as the final fixture of the Springboks’ overseas tour in November, where they will also play Ireland, 2023 World Cup hosts France and Italy.
