Springbok and Lions winger Ruan Combrinck is set for a stint in Japan after this season’s Super Rugby campaign.

Along with Lions teammate Lourens Erasmus, Combrinck will head to Japan after Super Rugby, before returning to the Johannesburg-based side at the beginning of February next year.

‘We see this as an opportunity that is mutually beneficial to both Lions rugby and our players, as we therefore manage to secure their services for a longer period of time,’ Lions CEO Rudolf Straeuli commented.
